Types of Service
PCA (Personal Care Attendant) - One hour minimum required
- Monday–Friday, 6am–6pm: $40.00 per hour *
- Monday–Friday, 6pm–6am: $41.00 per hour *
- Weekend (Saturday/Sunday): $41.00 per hour *
- Holidays: $46.50 per hour *
* Errand service is an additional $12.00 per hour
Our PCAs are committed to the health and safety of the clients they serve. In addition to companionship and homemaking, PCAs will:
- Ensure clients receive their medication through reminders
- Assist clients unable to move on their own with mobility/transfers
- Assist client with dressing and bathing
- Housekeeping to maintain a safe environment
- Prep or cook meals according to client’s diet/restrictions
Our PCAs all have experience working with elders. They are flexible, sensitive to others and able to cope in emergency situations. PCAs possess a valid driver’s license and may do errands for clients (for an additional fee).
Homemaker – Two hour minimum required
- Monday–Friday, 6am–6pm: $35.00 per hour *
- Monday–Friday, 6pm–6am: $36.00 per hour *
- Weekend (Saturday/Sunday): $36.00 per hour *
- Holidays: $41.50 per hour *
* Errand service is an additional $12.00 per hour
Homemakers not only focus on the client but their home as well. In addition to companionship, Homemakers will provide:
- Light housekeeping & laundry services
- Preparation of meals & snacks according to client’s diet
- Monitoring of supplies (keep grocery & needs list)
- Be observant of any changes in client’s physical condition or behavior
Our Homemakers all have experience working with elders. They are flexible, sensitive to others and able to cope in emergency situations. Homemakers possess a valid driver’s license and may do errands (for an additional fee).
Companion – Two hour minimum required
- Monday–Friday, 6am–6pm: $26.00 per hour
- Monday–Friday, 6pm–6am: $27.00 per hour
- Weekend (Saturday/Sunday): $27.00 per hour
- Holidays: $32.50 per hour
Companion care is to enhance the social wellness of the client at home. Companion visits are to engage the client that may otherwise be alone and sedentary. Some examples of what to expect from a companion visit:
- Playing a card game or client’s favorite board game
- Taking a short walk if client is able
- Sharing hobbies (reading, painting, houseplants, crafts, birdwatching…)
- Rocking & talking – sit and talk about pets, old days, new days…
- Work on a jigsaw or crossword puzzle
- Read or be read the newspaper or a magazine
- Enjoy a light snack together (movie and popcorn!)
Companions offer encouragement and respite for a main caregiver. Companions will not provide hands-on (feeding, dressing, or nursing) care and they do not do errands. Our Companions have positive, compassionate attitudes and excellent communication and people skills.
